Mentors

If you are a professional and want to ‘give back’ by passing on what you know, The Goa School is for you. See our line up of mentors.

What’s in it for a Mentor?

Give back. Share your resources to give others a leg up.

Pass on the baton. Take what you know and turn it into an interesting program.

Deliver your knowledge resources yourself. This way you can focus on quality, and you know that your efforts paid off.

Meet young Indians preparing to go out and change the world. Mentor them for a year after you deliver your program, if you wish.

Be inspired by Fellows with the potential to change the world, guiding them through their life choices.

Grow and be enriched by your mentoring experience, which will help you in other areas of your life. Meet other mentors from other parts of the world. Join our network.

Experience Goa. Or Zoom in for shorter conversations (We are offering Hybrid events because of Covid, where only those mentors who can travel to Goa will be in the room).

If this sounds right up your alley, please contact us ASAP.

Here is an outline of your commitments

  • Get us to accept your lovely proposal to be a Mentor at The Goa School by filling out this form. Choose a topic you are good at, and talk to us about how we can fit it into the program.
  • Fix a date when with our management team on when/how to deliver your session.
  • Book your own time/travel/accommodation, and try to sponsor 1-2 Fellows to attend as well. See www.thegoaschool.com/sponsors for details.
  • Sign up to our Code of Conduct.
  • Work with us on the details of your sessions.
  • Deliver your sessions in approx. 30 minute (Zoom) or 1 hour (in person) slots. We will give you a slot as per our curated program.
  • Participate in other sessions. There will be other sessions like yours in the same week. You are welcome to tune in or stay, and add to the discussions.
  • Be available during discussions and informal gatherings if you are in Goa (or at another offsite location where the program is being held).
  • Mentor an assigned Fellow for a period of a year, if you choose to do this. Check in with us a few times during the year by joining our ‘mentoring of mentors’ group.
  • Become a part of The Goa School Hive Mind for future batches and programs focused on building sustainable communities.
  • Note that a nominal fee of Rs. 3,000 to The Goa School, to participate as a mentor, may apply.
