Sayed Sakhaulla Bhagewadi (Irshad, Khan) | General Assistant

Better known as Irshad or Khan, Sayed is General Assistant at The Goa School. He has worked in Afghanistan as a contractor to the US government. Besides working at The Goa School, he runs a taxi rental service in Goa. Being a local, he can vouch for the fact that Goa is the place to be, with its wonderful sights and lovely people. Irshad joined the first cohort of Fellows, and looks forward to discovering new things and meeting new people, The Goa School way.

Paloma Quadros | Operations Head

Paloma Quadros dedicates her time to consulting, teaching at business colleges and training. With an education from the University of South Carolina-Beaufort, and experience spanning five countries, including leadership roles in five-star hotels, Paloma joined The Goa School management team in October 2021. She is also co-founder of Yomorebi Hospitality Consulting LLP. She lives and works in Goa, India.

Jonathan Burton | Advisor

Jonathan Burton is an advisor to The Goa School. He started his career as an architect, building schools on remote islands of the Maldives. He soon learnt that quality education requires more than buildings, and built a 30 year career in social and economic development in Africa and Asia. He has orchestrated hundreds of mentoring and capacity-building interventions, empowering communities, building international solidarity and understanding. He lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland.

Madhuri Dass Woudenberg | Founder-Director

Madhuri is Founder-Director of The Goa School. She brings 20 plus years of experience and connections from an international career in communications for sustainable development to each program at The Goa School. She has worked in organisations such as CARE, USAID, Save the Children, Handicap International and The Global Development Network. At The Goa School, she curates spellbinding mentoring and learning experiences for young Indian changemakers, designed to help them pursue compassionate and fulfilling lives. She lives and works in Goa, India, for a large part of the year.

Are you a changemaker who wants to learn about how a social impact organisation works? Are you interested in management? Good at organising events? Can you design graphics? Write stories? If yes, could you could well be our next sparkly intern. Your deliverables will include assisting with our next immersion program, writing impact stories, getting together interesting graphics and more. We offer lots of experience, knowledge, networks — and a trip to Goa to join the next immersion program from somewhere in India. You can do a 3 month or a 6 month stint with us, depending on your availability. Get in touch!
