“The most spellbinding thing for me was to learn that as humans we are very powerful. We run the world.”

— From a thank you letter Stephanie wrote at the end of the contact program in March 2022.

More in Stephanie’s own words:

As a participant of The Goa School, I can confidently say that it was a life-changing experience. One of the most spellbinding things I learned during my time there was how to build new healthy connections that would stand to benefit both parties involved. This built my confidence, which was further enhanced by the positive outlook on life that I gained from the 5-day course.

Says Stephanie, “Unlike in our school systems, where theory is given more emphasis, The Goa School encourages practical applications and builds confidence in those who take part.”

The mentorship I received (thereafter), during the last year, was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the sharing of information and the positive vision held by the mentors at The Goa School. This helped me navigate life and build even stronger connections.

I also gained a positive outlook on life. As you may understand, the world is a scary place hence this change comes in handy in coping with such a world.

There was a conducive environment. Even when you say something wrong you were corrected but not judged for your mistake. Even the body language of the mentors was encouraging, it encouraged engagement amongst the Fellows. Doing tasks together helped us to cooperate with each other.

In my current pursuit of a career in healthcare, I find that the teachings of The Goa School have equipped me with the compassion and kindness necessary to connect with and help my fellow humans. It has given me the tools to lessen the burdens of those around me.

As for changes to the program, I have no complaints. I believe that The Goa School should continue to deliver the program in the same spirit as before, as it is incredibly helpful.

If I were to discuss something with a future batch at The Goa School, it would be the confidence that the practical application of their teachings gives you, especially during presentations. Unlike in our school systems, where theory is given more emphasis, The Goa School encourages practical applications and builds confidence in those who take part.
